  • Formally organized as Pest Control Council of the Philippines, Inc. (1969)
  • Registered to the Security and Exchange Commission (1970)
  • Formally launched during its first national conference in Iloilo City (1970)
  • Membership: PAE, PPS, WSSP, Agricultural Pesticides Institute of the Philippines (APIP) and PCAP
  • Office of the President declared 2nd week of May as Crop Protection Week (1974)
  • Launched the Pest Management Award (1974)
  • Launched the awards in Entomology (Leopoldo B. Uichangco Award), Plant Pathology (Gerardo O. Ocfemia Award) and Weed Science (Marcos R. Vega Award)
  • Launched the Best Paper and Best Poster Awards (1974)
  • Presented the Outstanding Pest Operator Control Award (1989)
  • Launched the Best Undergraduate Thesis Award in Entomology (1979)

  • Pest management came into focus
  • IPM declared as national crop protection policy in Philippine Agriculture (1986)

  • PAE celebrated its 20th Anniversary (1982 )
  • PPS celebrated its 20th Anniversary (1983)
  • WSSP celebrated its 20th Anniversary (1988)

1990-1999

  • Started the 5-year theme on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) (1990-1994)
  • PCCP changed its name to PMCP (1991)
  • Launched the Best Farmer Award (1993)
  • Started the Best Undergraduate Thesis Award in Plant Pathology (1993) and Weed Science (1994)
  • Conducted the first PMCP Pest Clinic (1994)
  • APIP changed its name to CPAP (1994)
  • PAE celebrated its 30th Anniversary (1992)
  • PPS celebrated its 30th Anniversary (1993)
  • WSSP celebrated its 30th Anniversary (1998)

2000-2009

  • Launched the Outstanding Farmer Award sponsored by Syngenta Phils. (2001)
  • CPAP branched out to form another organization, CropLife (2003)
  • Accepted another organization, Philippines Integrated Crop Management Association, Inc. (PICMA) (2007)
  • Revived Farmers’ fora and pest clinic (2008)
  • Launched the Plant Doctors’ on Board (2008)
  • PAE celebrated its 40th Anniversary (2002)
