The Pest Management Council of the Philippines, Inc. (PMCP) in coordination with Ms. Adelia V. Poblete from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cavite, conducted the Plant Doctor’s on Wheels (PDOW) last March 9, 2017 in Brgy. Iba, Silang, Cavite. This year’s PDOW was coordinated by the Philippine Phytopathological Society, Inc. (PPS). Mr. Fernando B. Malveda, PMCP President, graced the event with a cordial welcome of the participants.
The 2015 PMCP Christmas Party was held last December 11, 2015 at Tagaytay City, but this time with an international twist. Hmmmm!
The University of the Philippines Weed Science Society (UPWSS) is a socio- civic organization on their first year, recently celebrated their anniversary last 11th of November 2015. The highlight of this anniversary was the recently concluded quiz contest entitled “Madadamong Tanungan: Weed? Di nga?”, a quiz contest solely about Weed Science. The activity was held on the 12th of November at the Crop Protection Cluster Lecture Hall, Crop Protection Cluster, College of Agriculture, University of The Philippines, Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines from 7PM to 10PM. The said event catered to the fresh young minds of the students currently enrolled in Crop Protection courses. The organization’s aim was to impart a broader and more profound knowledge of weed science to the students who participated.

The turn-over ceremony was held on 29 September 2015 at 4: 30pm. Mr. Jesus M. Asistin, current PMCP President and PCAP President, led the turn-over ceremony of the PMCP Office located at Room B314, GO Ocfemia Wing, Crop Protection Cluster (CPC), UP Los Baňos, College, Laguna. With the CPC OIC Director, Dr. Teresita U. Dalisay, Mr. Asistin symbolicallyaccepted a large key signifying the amicable agreement between CPC and PMCP to utilize the Office for PMCP Secretariat activities with Ms Ann Kristine O. Medina as the Office Secretary. The current Board has been investing immensely to further improve the efficiency and productivity of present activities and future endeavours of PMCP.
