The 2015 PMCP Christmas Party was held last December 11, 2015 at Tagaytay City, but this time with an international twist. Hmmmm!

christmasParty1And so, it was a day of spectacular gathering of different Asian nations as members of different societies/organizations came wearing their costumes representing Japan, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and Vietnam. The colorful kimono, glittery Indonesian gown, and dangling accessories from India made the party more colorful and bright. The selection for the Best Costume Award added more excitement to the event as it turned into a “beauty pageant” wherein the candidates paraded in front of the judges to the delight of the audience. The judging of this award was based on personality and how the candidate responded during the question and answer portion. Finally, the judges gave the best costume award to Ms. Julie Aiza Mandap who wore a Japanese kimono. She is the current Secretary of the Philippine Phytopathological Society (PPS).

Another highlight of the event was the announcement of the winner in the competition for the best title of the PMCP Newsletter. The judges chose “Reportare” submitted entry of Ms. Julie Aiza Mandap.

The PMCP high school scholars were also invited and were awarded with their Php 5,000 allowance. As a way of expressing their gratitude, they presented a song and dance number.

The raffle prizes, parlor games participated by all, the delicious buffet lunch, and sumptuous Mongolian dinner filled everyone with the Christmas vibes and celebration. It was indeed a wonderful day of joyfulness and gift giving. The event ended with the closing remark of the current PMCP President, Mr. Jesus Asistin and a group picture taking.
